My novel, "The Incurable Optimist," is a work in progress. That means three things regarding any excerpts I publish here, one legal and the other two practical.
- Legal- even though it isn't finished, it still belongs to me and is subject to copyright law the same as any novel sitting on a library shelf. Let's you and I enjoy meeting and sharing here and not have our attorneys exchanging nasty (and expensive) letters filled with threats and acrimony.
- Practical #1- something you read here may not end up in the final published novel. It may be saved for a sequel or simply end up 'on the cutting room floor.'
- Practical #2- if it does appear in the published novel, it may appear quite different than it does here. While I won't post anything here that hasn't gone through several edits, there will be more edits by me and eventually by a professional editor of the publisher's choosing.
